Kilikoodu

Kilikoodu....a Malabari snack made especially during Ramzan.....It resembles a cutlet....( I felt so)

Ingredients

Chicken-------------------------a cup of small pieces
potato---------------------------1 big
onion----------------------------1 big; chopped
green chillies------------------4 chillies; chopped
coriander leaves--------------as per your taste; chopped
salt,turmeric powder-------- as per your taste 
chilly powder------------------a pinch (optional)
curry leaves--------------------(optional)
Eggs------------------------------2 
vermicelly-----------------------for coating
Ginger---------------------------a medium sized piecee 
Garlic----------------------------2,3 cloves
garam masala-----------------as per your taste




How to prepare

Pressure cook the potato and mash it..Cook chicken along with a pinch of salt and turmeric powder (cook without water). Add chopped green chillies, onion, coriander leaves, ginger, garlic, cooked chicken, and salt to the mashed potato and mix it well. Stir fry this mixture for 5 mnts and add turmeric powder, chilly powder and garam masala powder.. Stir fry this for 2 more mnts...Check the taste....and add salt and turmeric powder accordingly.....Make balls with this mixture......Beat the eggs in a bowl....Dip the balls in this and roll it in vermicelly. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry these balls untill both sides turn golden brown........your tasty nalumani palaharam " Kilikkodu" is ready.....
